Software Engineer (Informatica / Teradata ETL)
Job Duties
Develop, create and modify computer application software and specialized utility programs. Analyse user needs and develop software solutions.
Design customized software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency. Analyze and design databases within application areas.
Work individually or coordinate database development as part of a team. Analyze requirements and procedures to automate processign and improve existing computer systems. Develop DataWarehousing and ETL processes and architecture using Taradata RDBMS, Teradata SQL Assistant, Teradata Administrator, BTEQ, FastLoad, MultiLoad, Informatica (PowerCenter, PowerExchange, ETL).
Perform ETL using IBM InfoSphere Information Server (DataStage, Information Analyzer and QualityStage), Parallel Extender, Ascential DataStage (DataStage Enterprise Edison & Server Edition), Ab Initio, MQ Series, ER/Studio and DataStage Vision Control. Develop programs using SQL, PL/SQL and Teradata SQL. Design and develop Relational Database Management Systems (Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata).
Utilize tools such as SQL*Loader, SSIS, Perl, UNIX Shell and FileAid in UNIX and Windows enviroments.

Travel Requirement
